Committees

North America Committee

The GWO North America Committee was established in 2019 and is responsible for introducing GWO standards to North America.

The committee is attended by current members, in particular major manufacturers and operators from the region such as GE Renewable Energy, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Enercon, as well as owner operators including Ørsted, Acciona Energia and E.On Climate & Renewables.

The GWO North America Committee's objectives are:

  1. Promote adoption of GWO in North America
  2. Align GWO Standards with any regulatory requirements or practices prevalent or in development in the North American market
  3. Drive and oversee special initiatives to support the above

Representation on the GWO North America Committee is reserved for employees of Leading Member Companies, according to the GWO Articles of Association.

Elected committee roles:
  • GWO North America Committee Chair:

Links the North America Committee with the GWO Executive Committee and Secretariat. The role of the chair is to convene meetings and facilitate consensus building.
